The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), New Law College, has kept before itself the goals of advancement and dissemination of knowledge of law and legal processes in the context of national development. In accordance with these basic expectations the College is striving to achieve excellence in the field of legal education and research. The College while imparting legal education has kept a goal in view that a professional lawyer must be well equipped to perform the various roles which lawyers are expected to play in our society. The lawyer is not to be merely a craftsman, manipulating advocacy skills in the traditional role of conflict resolution in courts. Bharati Vidyapeeth has a Printing Press of its own, which was commissioned way back in May 1970. This Press is well equipped with state-of-the-art printing machinery. All the printing work for Bharati Vidyapeeth and its various educational institutions and sister concerns is carried out in the press, which has earned reputation for its high quality performance. |
(Khanapur Taluka co-operative Poultry Farm) This cooperative poultry unit was established in 1987 at Kadegaon (Dist. Sangli). The number of its registered members exceeds 600 and its share capital exceeds Rs. 2,45,000/-. At present its daily average production is 34,000 eggs. The project was financed by the N.C.D.C., New Delhi. The poultry has its own production unit of feed meal, which produces feed material at the rate of 3 metric tons per hour. |

(Khanapur, Taluka cooperative Industrial Society of Women), Kadegaon, (Dist. Sangli) Empowerment of women, particularly those from rural areas has been an item of priority on the agenda of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. This concern of Dr. Kadam is shared by his wife, Mrs. Vijayamala Kadam. It is with her initiative that this co-operative unit was established in 1991. The mission of this unit is to help rural deprived women, particularly widows, destitutes, divorcees and deserted to be financially self reliant and to enable them to live a life of honour and dignity. The Society has over 250 registered members on its roll. It arranges occupational-training programmes for its members. The members are given different job works including preparation of school uniforms, uniforms for the class IV employees of Bharati Vidyapeeth and likes. Its proposed activities include launching of manufacturing units of spices and stationary items. |
