The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), New Law College, has kept before itself
the goals of advancement and dissemination of knowledge of law and legal processes
in the context of national development. In accordance with these basic expectations
the College is striving to achieve excellence in the field of legal education and
research. The College while imparting legal education has kept a goal in view that
a professional lawyer must be well equipped to perform the various roles which lawyers
are expected to play in our society. The lawyer is not to be merely a craftsman,
manipulating advocacy skills in the traditional role of conflict resolution in courts.
There are other concurrent curricular goals and roles for legal education, some
of which may be more important than litigation in the context of our society.
